You’ll spend time on the following:
- Weld and assemble steel and tubing for our autonomous barns and supporting structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accuracy in fabrication
- Measure, cut, prepare and clean materials according to project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools, including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to meet production timelines and resolve technical challenges
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all workplace safety practices
Here’s what we are looking for:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You have prior experience as a welder or metal fabricator, ideally in a construction or manufacturing environment
- You have experience with MIG and working with various metals and thicknesses
- You can read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- You have a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- You’re comfortable working with hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication equipment
