Manufacturing Process & Operations Improvement Specialist

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Manufacturing Process & Operations Improvement Specialist to join our team and lead the charge in optimizing our production workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is passionate about implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and scalability. You will be responsible for evaluating and improving current processes, designing efficient workflows for order fulfillment, and guiding the implementation of lean practices across our operations. You should also have a general understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, allowing you to create clear process drawings that support both planning and execution on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, document, and optimize shop-floor and back-end operational workflows, especially for order fulfillment and production
  • Create and maintain process drawings and workflow documentation, integrating mechanical and electrical system knowledge
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions using Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent execution
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects and drive change across teams
  • Support the adoption of lean tools and practices throughout the organization
  • Collaborate with leadership to align improvements with strategic goals
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on workflow and process improvements 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in Operations Management, Process Improvement, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing environments
  • Ability to create process diagrams, layouts, or technical documentation to support production improvements
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and change management abilities
  • Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing manufacturing company is a strong asset

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Start-up Management or Lean Enterprise initiatives
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital production tools
  • Bilingual in English and French
